Earth Tandemonium

An exuberant and playful dance, between Angie Shyr (violin) and Chris Cheek (alto sax). World-class creative musicians. They play off each other so well!

As I write this, I’m listening to their Easy Winners (Scott Joplin), and flying over the deep browns and reds of Sahara. Next up is night views of Mediterranean, as Angie and Chris interpret a Shostakovich Quartet.

This is a full album – their recently released Tandemonium. What a wonderful collection of Earth and music – each music reveals new insights about Earth. The Shostakovich Quartet leads on to swirling aurora and sunrise. Then the Bach Duet over the Indian Ocean. . .

It takes a moment to get used to the music, but when you do it’s a beautiful duet. Exuberant violin with emotional rhythm of alto sax.
