Spectacular global performance of Bach's Dona Nobis Pacem (grant us peace)

Musicians  all over the world singing with heart and soul, as we fly over Earth at night. We're all connected.

Dona Nobis Pacem has such emotional power. The final movement of the B minor Mass of Johann Sebastian Bach, it exudes joy and thankfulness – and a global dream for peace on Earth.

In 2022, Covid prevented a live performance at the annual BachFest in Leipzig, Germany. So, with creativity and passion, they converted this into a global performance. Here combined with an ISS night flight, we see and hear the connections among us.

Michael Maul, Artistic Director for Dona Nobis Pacem, commented “The touching plea for peace at the end of this movie is truly a moving message. We must care for Earth.”

Special release on Oct 4, 2024, by astronauts at their annual Congress of Association Space Explorers (watch here)
