# Earth Music Theater

Earth Music Theater (EarthMusicTheater.org) pairs astronauts'
photography of Earth from the International Space Station with
original performances by world-class musicians. Each film is a real
orbital journey — an astronaut at the ISS Cupola window, following
their curiosity across the planet — answered in music: Bach played
over the Sahara, auroras met with improvised piano, night cities
under choral motets.

The films draw on the complete 25-year archive of ISS astronaut
photography (millions of public-domain photographs, organized by
photo session), are free to watch, and carry no advertising. The
project's institutional home is the Association of Space Explorers,
the professional community of everyone who has flown in space. Its
purpose: to help humanity love and care for Earth.
