MDR-Sinfonieorchester MDR-Sinfonieorchester Orchestra

Bach's Art of the Fugue (movements 2 & 3), with MDR-Sinfonieorchester with world-class conductor Dennis Russell Davies . . . with dramatic flights over Africa and Europe.

Previously, we introduced Earth Art of Fugue – a Bach masterpiece of many movements, all variations on a theme. We started with Our Home in the Universe, with Maestro Brian Hoffman, organist playing Contrapunctus 1.

Now MDR SinfonieOrchester (Leipzig Germany) takes over, with the next two movements – a meditative flight over Sahara, and an exploratory path over Atlantic Ocean and Europe.

Cinematography by astronauts on Expeditions 67 (Sep 1, 2022) and 69 (July 30, 2023). Compelling views – and absorbing music.

So. . .Bach’s Art of Fugue has 18 movements. Now you’ve seen 3. We want to do them all! It may take a year. We’ll work with several musicians, all Bach aficionados, each expressing their own interpretation of a favorite movement in the series – all with glorious views of Earth. It may take a year to complete. Consider this a teaser.

And if you’re a musician and want to experiment, let us know!
